  1. Fast & Fierce

Posted by Chad WIlson on May 24th 2017

Very pleased with my purchase! I was skeptical of ordering online without test riding. After days of research and fantastic sales support playing a hundred questions with me, I decided to take the leap. The bike came well packaged and in a timely fashion. It was even sweeter in person. I'm not generally an orange and black fan but in the flesh it's a great color combo for the trail and I've had several compliments on the look. The build quality is excellent (I'm a bit of a perfectionist). I especially like the wide/flat section of frame at the base of the seat post as well as the bottom bracket. I've ridden the bike on all kinds of trail surfaces and conditions. I even love taking this hard tail out on the road. It's fast, shifts and climbs well, and is a comfortable ride. On the trail it rolls over obstacles nicely, powers up climbs, and takes the downhill with class. I really like the pop and response of the shock. As expected this model is ideal for fast and smooth sections, ski trail, and gravel roads but handles technical segments very well. I ride a mix of XC and lighter Trail. Recently I switched over to tubeless and found a whole other level of affection for my Myroon. The tires are not technically labeled for tubeless use but are working well. I used a Bontrager Flash Charger and it was pretty easy. Due to the thin tire sidewalls, as the tires were settling in over the course of the first couple rides, some air/sealant was leaking through the rubber. I also has some leaking initially from the rim seam on the front wheel. My only minor complaints have been: 1. The chain stay protector film peeled up for no apparent reason, 2. There was some occasional clicking that took me awhile to figure out was coming from the hub spacers (haven't heard since tightening down better), and 3. I wish the tires were tubeless ready. I would strongly recommend this bike with its sweet frame design, light weight, and great SRAM components. Overall this bike would best be described as Fast & Fierce!
